New Links to "Returning to St. Eligius: St. Elsewhere 30 Years Later"

Updates to links to Edward Copeland's celebration of St. Elsewhere, to mark the thirtieth anniversary of the show's premiere.

There's an old post on here with links to the original home of the excellent comprehensive retrospective of St. Elsewhere that was lovingly researched and crafted by the late journalist Edward Copeland (the freelancing pen name of Scott Schuldt) in 2012. I contributed to the article with research and video clips.

The links no longer work, but the Press Play blog has an archive website, PressPlayRedux.com. Here are the new links:

Returning to St. Eligius: ST. ELSEWHERE, 30 Years Later, Part 1
Returning to St. Eligius: ST. ELSEWHERE, 30 Years Later, Part 2
Returning to St. Eligius: ST. ELSEWHERE, 30 Years Later, Part 3

Check 'em out! They're a great read, and one of the best retrospectives around about the show.

R.I.P. Norman Lloyd, St. Elsewhere's Dr. Daniel Auschlander

The St. Elsewhere Experience is pleased to honour the memory and life of Hollywood legend Norman Lloyd, who played Chief of Services Dr. Daniel Auschlander on all six seasons of St. Elsewhere, and who passed away at the tender age of 106 years on May 11, 2021.

Here's the obit from The Hollywood Reporter:

Personally, I will miss wishing him birthday greetings every November 8th. Quite impressive for the actor whose elderly character passed away from a stroke in the series finale 33 years ago, having survived the longest cancer remission in TV history.
