"The Count"
Description: An adult film star seeking to leave his trade enlists the doctors' help to evade a slovenly process server. Armstrong airs her suspicions to Craig that a senior surgeon is receiving kickbacks for unnecessarily implanting pacemakers in patients. Ehrlich and Fiscus nearly come to blows over their living arrangements. Dr. Craig considers putting his home on the market.
Trivia
The scene where Wayne and Victor argue in the E.R., triggered by Ehrlich forgetting to pass on a message to Fiscus about a lecture Wayne was supposed to deliver, is composed of one, single, continuous shot that lasts, by my count, 1 minute and 48 seconds. It was shot by Rick Gunter, who follows them through two doorways before executing a 360-degree orbit around them in the E.R. lobby. It may be the longest long-shot in the history of television.
